Does a how-to guide for this exist? It would be nice if I could figure out how to alter phonemes. I think I'm somehow failing to make the editor work, but the install manual said that if the editor failed, it simply wouldn't display any voices, which isn't the case. Were I happy with strings of a- then I would have no complaints. So yeah. Any 'basic pocaloid for imbeciles' how-to or faq floating around anywhere? All my google-fu came across was... trash.
Well at first I'd say use the normal editor instead. It's better than using a hacked version of it. As for making vocals, it depends on if you're using an English or Japanese Vocaloid. I haven't tested English Vocaloids much, so I'm still not sure exactly how it is used. For a Japanese Vocaloid though you need to use either romaji or kana to input lyrics. If you want the editor to speak 'Hatsune Miku' you first need to break it up to it's individual syllables. This would be(kana in brackets) ha[ハ], tsu[ツ], ne[ネ], mi[ミ] and finally ku[ク]. Each syllable is then it's each note in the editor, and so the actual composition would be something like this: [ha------][tsu-][ne--] [mi------][ku----] Note how I illustrated the different length of each syllable. You're often going to change how long a syllable is spoken to get the correct pronunciation of the word you want, though this applies to any Vocaloid. And that's be basics of using Japanese Vocaloids.
Any ways to avoid the 'Can't open Synthesis Engine' error?
>>411 That depends on what you did to get the error. And if you're using Pocaloid or Vocaloid.
>>412 That happened when I used 'Pocaloid'. I just switched back to Vocaloid because of that error...
>>413 That doesn't say what you did to get the error though. Explain what you did to get the error, What did you install etc.
>>411 I'm getting the same error when I choose the audio device. No matter which one I choose, it still gives that error. How can I solve it?
>>435 Nevermind, messed with sampling rate and the singer editor, and it seemed to work here.
I'm also having trouble starting up Pocaloid. After I install the manager, then the system, and a voice bank. I will click on Pocaloid and it has the error " No audio output device specified!" Then it brings out a little menu and when I hit ok it says "Can't open Synthesis Engine". Any Idea what that means?
Try uninstalling the Pocaloid (with Manager), erase all Pocaloid registry items with regedit, and reinstall. Sadly, I don't have time to prove it. I just reformatted my PC to run Linux because the HD's dying...
Does anyone know where can I find Lily's pocaloid VB?
>>441 Lily isn't a Vocaloid. :|
>>492 http://www.ssw.co.jp/products/vocal/lily/index.html Here's proof. Can't really tell if the peace-out guys have her in Pocaloid form yet...
How do I install a voicebank into POCALOID2?!
