It's coming guys... miku.sega.jp/dt/
why is this only for japan!?!?!?
>>202 Because Sega hates America. ( though more likely its because the only people that would buy the game would be people who listened to Vocaloid and there are not a lot of us compared to the rest of society)
>>202 >>203 Not exactly SEGA. Crypton may be the one to blame because they try to keep Miku away from the world outside Japan. They try to think of the public response they get outside The Rising Sun. Think of it: They have this 'HATSUNE MIKU MOVEMENT' thing in their VOCALOID2 website (which involves the creation of PIAPRO), plus ads of 'MikuMoba' and 'Miku to Utaou'. But such services cannot be accessed by the foreigners (like us).
Holy crap. Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong place for some reason. I really hope Crypton makes the release to worldwide... cause there are ALOT of vocaloid fans outside Japan as well.
Nothing's really stopping you from having it delivered through courier services and shopping sites like j-list which deal with this problem. If the language barrier with the interface that's the problem, then get off your ass and learn. We had to do it for the PSP, so it shouldn't be all that different.
>>208 So I take it PS3 games are not region locked, then? If not, this might be the time to get one...
>>209 Ah- That didn't occur to me. Perhaps that could be the case.
>>208 I quite agree with the language barrier thing. We can just grab a lesson or two and go. Besides that, the problem with Crypton is the fact that they think their Character Vocal series won't be as famous as it is in Japan where Animé concepts used in different products (e.g. Vocaloid) are welcomed with wide open arms. (I think this paragraph is a bit off-topic, but it's a bit appropriate...)
>>211 It won't be, simply because they know themselves that their English adaptions aren't suited for a global market. You saw how horrible it turned out with Luka and they're not about to burn themselves readily in order to find out whether their Japanese Vocaloid's actually have a good market outside of Japan. tl;dr, It's a risk - businesses don't like risks. I don't know whether or not you can blame Crypton for it though as I don't really see the negative effect for them if SEGA specifically chooses to sell outside of Japan. Suppose no-one will know without seeing the contract.
>>212 Once again, I agree. Guess I have to end my rage over this topic for a while...
