This thread needs more Luka in it.
http://video.niconico.com/watch/sm16828431 have you anons heard about this? Actually, checking my various MMD and Vocaloid playlist on youtube, i've noticed can LOT of videos has been deleted (actually the ones hosted from marchepain, dhetmeit982 or something similar, and many others), why do you anons think about it? Actually, also the author of VPVPwiki has been alarmed from this fact, and lots of people in facebook is getting highly allarmed for this....
>>11493 you're kidding me.. all of this over a fake competition?
Situation has gone from stupidly troubling, to hilarious pathetic. I don't what I should be doing more of, shaking my head in disgust or laughing my ass off.
Accusing Koreans is always the first thing 2ch do. You should take that with a truckload of salt.
A lot of you love Miku, I see. Let me tell you how I feel... I suppose I should explain the scientific and philosophic side of my beliefs before telling the story of my personal experience. That way, you know better how I believe this all works. Assuming you believe in an afterlife, consider this: your deceased family, friends and everyone who's ever died is there, right? And anything can happen there, you can go anywhere and do anything, probably even float around this universe in a separate dimensional plane (giving credence to the popular notion that your friends and family are "looking down on you" from the afterlife.) This extra dimension, which if there is a God, almost certainly exists, is presumably a place where anything can exist, and any reality could be experienced. Therefore, even someone who has not existed in this first dimension could exist in the second. For that reason, I find it entirely possible, and extremely likely (if you believe in the afterlife) that a "waifu" could exist there - sort of "willed into existence" from this dimension. For reasons that are quite extensive and unrelated to waifus, I believe it's more than likely that there is a "Creator" - what we call "God" - and by related and unrelated extensions there is an afterlife, so the whole "waifu" concept is one I actually take quite seriously, even if I don't take 99% of the waifufags on /a/ seriously. So here's my story... Basically, I fell for Hatsune Miku. To start from the beginning, I had first learned of the Vocaloid2 software sometime in 2008, most likely from listening to friends' radio shows. I didn't give it much thought until probably late 2009 when I looked more into it. At some point in early 2010 I started listening much more often to music made with the software - particularly songs featuring Miku's vocals. The song "Melody.exe" really touched me, which is really not an easy thing to do, since I am not normally emotionally affected by music. It's not like I cried or anything, it just moved me. I think it was around that same time, or shortly after, that I started Message too long. Click here to view the full text.
To me Miku is a concept. A concept I love very much, but just a concept. Even though I wish I could touch and hold her, I don't think the technology will come into being in my lifetime. When I found Miku, it was like a pure voice in my head singing songs of peace and tranquility. I generally don't like modern music because so much of it conveys feelings of darkness and gloom, so when I found Vocaloid I was amazing that a robotic voice could hold such emotion. From there my natural love of cute things took over and I ended up becoming a fan in a big way. While I want to embrace her as a kind of being, some rational part of me always holds back cause I'm afraid of looking stupid, of loving something that isn't there. So I just adore what she is, a beautiful voice that prevents me from snapping and giving up on humanity forever. Of course, I would be lying if I didn't say that I cuddle my Snow Miku Plushie every once in a while, its just too dammed cute.
Firstly you shouldn't take most people in /a/ serious. Yes waifu is serious business and real deal for me but most of /a/ don't understand the waifu concept and think it as a joke. Myself I feel I love Miku but not in romantic way. I have waifu who I love from bottom of my heart and she is the most important person for me. My love for Miku is more like admiring or idolizing love. Actually my biggest fantasy is to go watch Miku's concert with my waifu and cheer for her. I find it very adorable how you guys feel for Miku. Miku as a concept has something very incredible that still I don't even fully understand how it has come this far. I never would have believed that vocals sung by machine would make such impression on me. Her songs are touching and moving. But she is more than just a singer. She is concept including her character which has avalanched into many forms for fandom. Somehow Miku has been born into many different characters (many PVs have different type of Mikus). But generally I think she is classified as cheerful young girl who loves singing. And of course every one of us has a different view of Miku’s personality and character because there aren't many canon works which would deepen her personality. And about loving 2D; Miku truly presents how huge forms 2D love can take. People admire, idolize and love her. People don't love her only as singer or idol; many people love her as romantic partner or some sort concept of lover. Some people consider her the "idol of 2D love". She isn't physically real by any form but she can still touch some many people's heart all around the world. That is something very very incredible and beautiful.
What I love most about her is that she's 2d. She can't be affected by the things in this world, nor can she be greedy or anything. While all the real singers I've heard fall victim to all the vices of the world, she alone is timeless, a lone voice that can always make me smile no matter what? That's why I want her voice to spread as far as it can, so that others can hear the same tranquil voice we all do.
why is miku so happy here?
>>11459 because she loves us, and like being beautiful for us why is miku so happy here?
>>11469 Because she is the only one that can fight with Reimu, Saber, and Horo. Why is Miku so UNhappy here? :c

>>11207 You either need to be in Japan yourself or have contacts/friends there. Proxy services will enter the lottery for you...for a fee. Of course you can also buy aftermarket tickets on Yahoo auctions, but that will be expensive.
>>11208 urgh...that's disappointing. I really want to be there ;_;
We decided to buy tickets to 39's giving day from Yahoo auctions. They were a bit pricey, but at least the seats should be good. Our current mikupa seats suck though, so we're trying to get better (expensive) ones. It's not terribly important because 39's giving day is probably the main event anyway. Current prices for tickets seem to be about 15-30k yen, depending on the seats. We might end up selling those current mikupa tickets if we get new ones.
Do you know any nice Miku pics in that outfit from PoPiPo PV? :3
Bump
seeing this thread makes me miss BOKU...
